In the all-college newspaper competition, Prof. Tim Hendrick says SJSU took: First Place - Best color ad, First Place - Best b/w ad, and Second Place - Best newspaper promotion.
At the Addy Awards (ad industry creatives) here in Silicon Valley, Jessica Churchill, who was creative director on the Daily and is creative director on our AAF competition team, about to compete in Reno late April, won 4 Silver (second place awards for her creative work. She swept the student category, no student placed above her. WAY TO GO! Congratulatons JMC School advertising superstars!.

He won a prestigious San Francisco PR Roundtable Scholarship--it's a few thousand dollars
and a big deal in professional circles! To compete...Students write a strong essay, and must be recommended by a JMC advisor, then finalists are personally interviewed by the selection team.
